Pokey the Turtle:)

I just love the website makeit-loveit.com! The other day I saw this Stuffed turtle toy she made and I decided to give it a go:)  Jason had gone to bed by the time I was finished with him so I put him on the bathroom counter when I was done... waiting for Jason to see the note I put with him when he got up in the morning. LOL..it says "Good Morning Jason:)"
I was going to have him be a toy, but decided to call him Pokey and turn him into a pin cushion. ha ha..get it? Pokey because he is slow...and also because I poked needles into him. Humor me;)

The only part that doesn't make too much sense is that how can you poke needles into a turtles shell? Well you can in this one:)..I mean come on..if he can be blue and yellow polkadotted then he can have a soft shell;) Good thing there isn't any like that in real life because if not there would be a yellow and blue polka dotted turtle out there hurting because I made him into a voodoo doll:) lol

Here is the link if you wanna try making a stuffed turtle yourself:)

Not the Brightest Crayon in the Box!

*When you see the "Notes to Remember" at the bottom of this post, you will know where my title came from.

Last night I was browsing a fun craft blog and stumbled upon making crayons.  It looked so fun to do with Addy that today we gave it a go..Auntie Erin helped too!

You can do this with your old broken crayons or even if you just want to make your crayons into fun shapes:)

Here is the link to the site I got it off of! http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2011/03/mister-make-it-and-love-it-series_14.html
I have heard of people who use little muffin pans to do this, the website I looked at had the ikea silicone ice cube trays and I was excited because I had one too!  Addy Sporting her new haircut:)

As you can see some of the fish didn't come out in one piece, but together they made a cute flower:)

Things to remember: NEXT TIME PUT THE ICE CUBE TRAY ON A FOIL COVERED PAN! IT IS LOTS EASIER TO GET OUT OF THE OVEN AFTER THE FACT...AND YOU WONT HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE HARDENED CRAYON OFF EVERYTHING IT SPLASHED ON!

Adams Family Adventures-FINAL DAY-Going with the flow:)

Friday was the last day before our Fam left for home:(  It was a great day just like all the rest of the time they were here.  In the morning, Jason had to go to class because it was either go and the teacher did the homework questions with you...or figure it out on your own.  After he got home the guys went to see Transformers 3.  Has anyone else seen it?  Here is a preview for it:

Addy and I decided to stay home.  She really wanted to go too, but I think she may have changed her mind with the loud theater and all the action going on.  While they were gone, here is what we did:

Someone I used to work with actually made this for her when she was born and I really love how she did it, but for Addy's bday this year (not until Oct) we are going to re decorate her room for her so we repainted it to match:) My sis made a really cute quilt she is going to give her that is hot pink, lime green and white so those are going to be the colors in her room.  It will be fun when we get the room all finished:)

We also played outside and I got one side of the house's yard mowed.  When they got back we hung around home for a while and then went to dinner with our fam to Fat Boy's Pizza!

Note: This is not our exact pizza...I took the pic off of google:)  This is what we had though!...The UFO pizza. There is a man vs food challange there that if 2 people can eat it in 30 min you get your pic on the wall and a free tshirt.  Do you think you could do it?

Sam reserved flowrider for that night! We had a lot of fun! Here is some video footage!

Sadly all of our friends that were there aren't on this particular video clip. It was between this one and a 20 min one that I could have edited to make shorter, but this one that was originally 4 min took almost an hour to upload on movie maker so I could edit it. Because of that, I didn't try the bigger one, but here is a sneak peak of the fun we had!

After flowrider some of us went and got ice cream at Farrs:)
I love this next pic because Addy's ice cream matches her clothes:)

We had a lot of fun with our family last week and miss them already...COME BACK!  I think I am ready to sleep for a week though to recover from all our adventures!

Adams Fam Adventures Day 6---Up Up and AHHH!

Today was a very fun day at LaGoOn AmUsEmEnT PaRk!  While we were there, Addy was excited to spend the day with her grandma!

This little girl wishes she could have stayed home with her grandma!

Jason pulled a McGyver and used one of my hair elastics to make a strap for Sams camera!

Jason won this little critter for Addy and named him Milk Can because that was how it was won:) Chris knocked a prize off the wall with one of his turns and we thought that deserved a prize too!

And now for the moment you have all been waiting for!

The Adams Fam Adventures Day 5---Addy the Conquerer

Have you ever seen Bert the Conquerer? Its a television show where this guy travels the US and does challenges...like for instance he goes to amusement parks and does the biggest rides etc... Well..shortly you are about to hear about our little Addy the conquerer:) BUT first I'm going to start at the beginning of our day.

We went to the Kennecott Copper Mines

This tire is how big they really are on the trucks!

The trucks are as big as houses to carry so much weight!

In the museum it displays how much copper is used in everyday things!

The Olympic Medals were made from copper from the Kennecott Copper Mines

After the museum we went to the gift shop where Jason bought me my very own personalized Swiss Army knife. He carries one on his key chain...we call them the MacGyver knives because we have been watching a lot of that show on netflix and if you arent familiar with it Macgyver knows how to do anything with anything and he always has a swiss army knive just in case he needs it...Addy told us today that she wants to be like Macgyver too:) Jason thought that was cool she said that, but of course she'll have to wait til she is older to have her own swiss army knife. Its cool...My fav is the scissors and a screwdriver on it! We got Addy a bag of cool colorful rocks that she says are her special rocks:)

After the mines we went to Hollywood Connection

Addy in the Arcade:) 390 tickets= a ring, bracelet, smiley face eraser, play money, an alien parachuter, and a little jewelry box:)  LOL...most of the tokens were included with the deal we got!  Her cousin Chris was really thoughtful and gave her all his tickets too:)

This is where the Bert the Conquerer came reference came in to play.  She loves Merry Go Rounds but I was suprised how brave she was when she would sit alone up so high! Her favorite was the Zebra.  She rode on it all 3 times!

I was even more suprised that she ended up liking this ride that went into the air and spun around..she was scared at first, but kept wanting to go on it!  My favorite thing was that after the ride got over she said "That was Awesome!"

And this is where I was really suprised at her bravery! Again the first time she wasn't so sure, but she ended up going on this roller coaster 3 times too!

You cant see her face but I wanted to post this one with her hands in the air!
First time rollerskating!

It was hard helping Addy stay up when Jason or I haven't skated for years!

I ended up taking my skates off so we didn't both end up flat on the ground with Addy and it would be easier to help and teach her!
Jason, Sam and Chris Also did a round of mini golf, bumper cars and laser tag!  Addy had fun with Chris going on all the rides 1 more time before we left:)

It was so much fun watching Addy do so many new things today!  We had a great day!

Even though Addy didn't get to be like McGyver and have her own knife, she was excited when we told her that she was just like Bert the Conquerer!

Adams Fam Adventures Day 4---To ThE BaTcAve!

Ok so we didn't really go to the Batcave (of course), but the title of my post came from the fact that Sam wore a very appropriate shirt for todays festivities:)...he wore a Batman shirt.  Can you guess where we went?

But before we reached the caves we had to hike up the luckily paved trail!

1/2 way there!

3/4 of the way there.  These signs were very encouraging.  Its a lot better than asking people how much longer and getting the "you're almost there" answer...and then it being a lot farther:)

We made it to the caves!

Chris carried Addy part of the way down:)

Taking a cat nap before the Thanksgiving Pointe Dinosaur exibit!

Tune in to see what tomorrow brings!  But for now...to the "Bed..Cave"...ok yeah can you tell i'm tired!?
