Addy and I just spent 2 weekends in a row at my parents house. Some people questioned mine and Jason's relationship after that;) jk. Sadly because of work, Jason wasn't able to come with us. The first weekend some other family members were going to go down, but thought maybe if they went the next weekend that more people would be able to go. I still decided I would go the first weekend, but then decided to ride down with family the next weekend too:) Not to worry besides work and school and home projects, here is what Jason did while we were gone:
play and watch football
Eat Yucky..er..I mean delicious food:) He is the cook of our fam so if I am gone he doesn't just have cereal he makes foods that he enjoys that I would only eat to be nice:)
Watch guy movies
Note: Guy movies include: explosions, funny one liners and girls in bikinis
quote: "All the good stuff" unquote
While we were there we had a great time watching movies, shopping and crafting! Here are some pics from the trips (plural)!
Trip 1: Addy playing with the toy kitchen!
Addy in the sunglasses Grandma bought her
Addy in Grandmas glasses
Trip 2: Grandma let Addy pick out what fingernail polish she wanted to keep! Thanks Mom! Addy is starting to get pretty good at doing this herself!
Addy helped uncle Cody fix Grandpa and Grandmas car
Trip 2: Addy had the choice between a cars cookie and a Tangled cookie. It was so cute and the cars on the cookie are also rings.

While I was there my mom and I decided to make these twine balls
Here is how hers turned out
Here are how mine turned out (Suzy here is what I did with the vase you gave me..thanks!)
Here is how we made them:
We went to the dollar store to find twine and foam balls, but they had neither!! BUT they did have these that we thought would work.
One item down to buy and one to go..so we searched and searched for twine...well we found twine but not the hairy kind that we were looking for...so finally we found it on aisle 17 at Lowes:) So if you need some go to that aisle. I'm pretty sure it's the same aisle at all Lowes because when I needed some more because we both were making a set it was on the same aisle at a different lowes! Of course they were out of it, but I found some at Home Depot (didn't take note of the aisle) he he.
You can do different designs if you want or the same. As you saw on my Moms there were two different kinds and mine are the same design but painted. You can really do what you want as long as you cover the ball in twine you are all set!
If you are interested in making a set here is what you need:
Some type of ball to cover whether it be foam or other
Hot glue and glue gun (glue the twine as you go)
Twine
paint and a paint brush if you wish to paint it
It was so fun and saved a lot of money! Here is the price break down for us both to do it.
We both got 6 balls each
Balls pk of 4 x3 =$3.00
Twine x2=under $5.00
Glue gun and glue= already had
paint=already had
Vases= already had you could also put it in a fun bowl or something
So for both of us to make them it cost about $8.00! for 12 twine balls!
We had a fun time!
Thanks for letting us come Dad and Mom! Twice!
